Professional Biography

Dr Aneil Tripathy is an economic and climate anthropologist with experience working on and analyzing responses to climate change in finance and beyond. He has training in environmental economics, ethnographic research, and systems thinking.

Dr Tripathy is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bologna and a member of the Impact Hau European Research Council project. His research focuses on climate finance and the green bond market. Aneil has been a visiting researcher at Cass Business School and Lancaster University, and was an associate of University College London’s Centre for An Anthropology of Sustainability (CAOS). He has worked in climate finance for five years and has training in environmental economics, ethnographic research, and systems thinking.

Aneil is the Academic Research Coordinator at the Climate Bonds Initiative, where he manages academic relationships and research projects. The Climate Bonds Initiative is an international, investor-focused not-for-profit, working solely on mobilizing the $100 trillion global bond market for climate change solutions.

Personal Biography

Gardening is my passion, and it teaches me that imposing one’s will on the world is much less fruitful than trying to learn about the world and reinforcing positives from what is already around us. Instead of neatly manicured gardens I love entangled complexity.
